Mark Mullee is Director of the Research Design Service South Central and Senior Lecturer in Medical Statistics at the University of Southampton. In 2001 he was awarded a Distinction for the MSc in Medical Statistics at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. He is a Royal Statistical Society Chartered Statistician and has a particular interest in clinical trials, but also has expertise in epidemiological studies. As well as the Royal Statistical Society, he is a member of Statisticians in the Pharmaceutical Industry, Society for Social Medicine and the International Society for Clinical Biostatistics.
In the last five years he has had 28 publications including a paper in the New England Journal of Medicine. In 2008 he was the lead applicant of a successful £5M bid to the National Institute of Health Research for the RDS (Research Design Service) South Central. The RDS provides support and advice for NHS and social care who are applying for NIHR research grants. He is a National Institute for Health Research Faculty Associate Member and Associate Member of the Health Technology Assessment Clinical Trials Board.
